LALEVADE D'ARDECHE

Lalevade of Ardèche owes his(her,its) success to its situation privileged in the valley of Ardèche: the municipality makes the connection between the Mountain Ardéchoise, Aubenas and Cevennes. She(it) is the village centres of the high valley of Ardèche.
Presenting a little raised(little brought up) height and a microphone very favorable climate (approximately 300 days of period of sunshine a year), situated in the heart of a picturesque and varied region, Lalevade is an ideal base for holidays restful and amusing.
The environment to Lalevade is marked for a long time by the presence of the water: the municipality(Commune) is installed(settled) in a small plain of the river Ardèche formed by the movement of a meander, after the bottleneck of Bridge(Deck) of Labeaume.Formerly, the "levade" was a construction across Ardèche allowing to bring the water of the river towards the "béal", the small channel(canal) with weak slope, which fed the mill to grind the dry sweet chestnuts, the wheat and the other cereal. We find béalières another three maintained traditionally to Lalevade.
